SCHOOL OF APPLIED TECHNOLOGIES Department of Construction Education Position: Regular Part-time instructors for Instructional Pool in CONSTRUCTION & MECHANICAL (Number of openings dependent upon student enrollment/hiring for part-time pool) Teaching Areas to include: Landscaping, ACHR, Plumbing Pay Rate: Paid by the course according to the educational level of the instructor DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direct supervision of director, teach theory/lab classes in one or more of the above programs. Follow course document, communicate with Department Chairs, supervisors and staff, maintain objective grading system meet expectations as communicated by the director, maintain class meeting schedules as published in the master schedule and attend orientation meetings. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Successful completion of five (5) years recent work experience in any of the above teaching areas; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Ability to relate to and instruct a non-traditional, diverse student population. WORK SCHEDULE: As assigned based on instructional needs. DATE OF EMPLOYMENT: Upon Approval.
