Position:  Regular Full-time Application Development and Support Manager

Pay Rate:  Dependent upon experience

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Under general direction, oversees, directs, and provides operational management, support and strategic planning for the College’ Enterprise Application Environment (Banner), Enterprise Web Environment, Database Environments and applications development at CNM.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

Bachelor’s Degree Information Technology related and five (5) years Enterprise Application System Support and Applications Development experience, of which at least three (3) years was in a managerial capacity,  or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Effective oral and written communications skills required.  Ability to relate to and interact with a non-traditional diverse employee and student population. 

Special Requirements: A pre-employment criminal background check is required.

PREFERENCES: 

Ability to supervise employees, manage projects and department budgets; prioritize work and meet deadlines;  maintain knowledge of rapidly changing industry trends and standards; excellent communication skills, both written and orally; ability to produce technical documentation  but also in terms understandable to diverse groups, including documentation of work and writing policies and procedures.  Strong analytical skills top perform complex research and analysis.  Experience with performance improvement, capacity planning, and systems management and networking on multiple computing platforms. Broad operation knowledge of information technology including: Oracle database administration, application development in a database environment, programming in multiple languages across multiple platforms.  Working knowledge of UNIX, LINUX and Microsoft operating systems.  Knowledge of Client/Server and Web applications.  Knowledge of SUNGARD/BANNER or similar Enterprise Application, and distributed environment.  Knowledge of principles, procedures, and standards of integrated web site structuring and design. 

WORK SCHEDULE

This is an exempt position requiring forty (40) hours per week usually between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. A variable schedule may be required, dependent upon project needs and the needs of the College.
