South Valley Campus Services and Resources

Admissions & Registration — The office for students to enroll in CNM and register for classes.

Academic Advisement & Career Development — Academic Advisors are available throughout the school year to help students make decisions regarding their college experience, career choices and academic plans.

Assessment Services — Placement Testing and Career Counseling

CNM Connect Achievement Coach — Achievement Coaches help students achieve their educational goals by addressing academic, financial and personal issues, making referrals to internal and external resources as appropriate. A specially designated South Valley Achievement Coach is available to meet individually with students and/or to make classroom presentations. In addition to a regular Monday through Friday schedule, the Achievement Coach can be available for evening and Saturday appointments and presentations.

Cashier — Pay tuition and fees (with check or money order ONLY). Payments submitted at the South Valley Campus after 2:00pm will be processed the following business day.

CNM IDs — All CNM students, faculty and staff must have a current ID in their possession while on CNM campuses. The South Valley Campus Admissions and Registration Office also issues student IDs. Under certain circumstances, CNM guests can also receive IDs. For information on Guest IDs, click here .

Open Computer Lab — Students can use computers to access the Internet and a wide range of software applications, including  MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Publisher, MS Access, FrontPage, Visio, Peachtree and Quicken. The lab also is available to non-CNM students with the purchase of a guest access card.

Learning Center (Tutoring) — CNM offers a variety of tutoring services for students at all academic levels.

Library Services — Students can use the library at any CNM campus, as well as the University of New Mexico library.

Cosmetology Walk-in Lab — Offers salon services to the public at reduced rates.

YDI Head Start — Head Start serves financially eligible children ages 3 to 5 who reside in the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County area. The Center at the South Valley Campus enrolls 20 children in one full-day class and 20 children each in two half-day Pre-K classes. Eligible CNM students receive enrollment consideration at the South Valley Campus location. An application appointment is necessary to begin the process.

Tax Help New Mexico — Free assistance in preparing and filing income tax for New Mexico residents with an annual household income of less than $50,000 or who are over the age of 65. Operates from January through April

City Bus Service — City bus service is free to current CNM students with a valid CNM ID card with an affixed bus pass sticker, available at Student ID Offices.
