Student Loan Rehab Program Can Provide Relief

The Student Loan Rehabilitation Scholarship Program is available to CNM students who have defaulted student loans with New Mexico Student Loans. Students who make satisfactory progress toward earning their degree or certificate while making nine consecutive on-time payments on their defaulted loans can have up to $5,000 of the debt cancelled. After the nine payments, the loan will be restored to good standing on the student's credit report. Scholarship recipients can also receive $1,500 per academic year for up to three years.
