CNM President Katharine Winograd and UNM President David Schmidly were jointly honored with the Olympic Spirit of Collaboration Award from Special Olympics New Mexico for creating the groundbreaking CNM-UNM Memorandum of Agreement in August. The award honors “exemplary leadership through innovative collaboration that affects communities in central New Mexico.” The CNM-UNM partnership calls for widespread collaboration aimed at increasing student success. The two presidents were honored at Sandia Resort & Casino on Tuesday, December 11, 2007.
