Jim Genandt has worked as dean of instruction at Spoon River College in Canton, Ill., since August 2006.
In his career he has served as a dean, a director of continuing education and a director/coordinator of TRiO programs.
In addition to his current position, Genandt's experience includes: Dean of human environmental science at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (July 1999-July 2006); director of continuing education and development foundation at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (Oct. 1993-June 1999); director of continuing education at Southern Arkansas University (Sept. 1988-Sept. 1993) and director/coordinator of TRiO programs at Emporia State University (Sept. 1983-Aug. 1988). He also taught high school science (Aug. 1981-May 1983).
Genandt is currently completing his doctoral degree in public policy and administration at Walden University (ABD). He earned a master's degree in American history from Emporia State University and a bachelor's degree in political science from Huron College.
