Demetria Martinez to Headline Montoya Campus Speaker Series Oct. 4
The second speaker in the Montoya Campus Speaker Series, Demetria Martinez, will present a lecture on her book, Confessions of a Berlitz-Tape Chicana, to CNM employees, students, alumni and the community on Thursday (Oct. 4) from 7-9 p.m. in room J-122, Montoya Campus.
All are welcome to attend this free presentation, which is sponsored by the CNM Foundation.
Confessions of a Berlitz-Tape Chicana is a collection of columns Martinez has written from interviews she has conducted with individuals. It explores how these interviews have impacted her.
In addition to being a poet, writer and columnist, Martinez lectures on the connection between spirituality and social justice.
Martinez is the daughter of CNM President Emeritus Ted Martinez.
