CNM Instructor Earns Fellowship with USDA
Marvin Lozano, a CNM instructor in the School of Business and Information Technology, is one of 20 instructors from Hispanic-serving institutions around the country to receive the E. Kika de la Garza Fellowship from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The fellows will work with USDA scientists and managers in Washington, D.C., to learn more about research and management issues relating to food security, biotechnology and agri-business.
The fellowship also aims to promote diversity and further the cause for increased educational opportunities for minorities. The USDA fellows program was established in 1998 as a collaborative effort with the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities.
