Andres Armijo Named Winner of Fabiola Cabeza de Baca Award

May 27, 2015 -- Andrés Armijo, program coordinator at the CNM School of Business & Information Technology, has been named the winner of the Fabiola Cabeza de Baca Award for his book, "Family History in the Rio Abajo," published by Rio Grande Books.

This award is offered annually by the Historical Society of New Mexico (HSNM) for an outstanding publication or exhibit relating to domestic life in New Mexico.

“Your book has done a remarkable job of blending your personal interest in family and region with your role as a professional scholar of New Mexico culture and history,” said Nancy Owen Lewis, chair of the HSNM Awards Committee.

This award, which includes a one-year membership in the Historical Society of New Mexico, was presented at the May 9 HSNM awards banquet.
