There were 74 CNM students competing in SkillsUSA.

Industry professionals judged the student competitors on the skills they'll need to succeed in the workforce. The competitions tested students’ skills in areas such as automotive technology, carpentry, culinary arts, masonry, plumbing, residential wiring, and many more.

Gold medal winners in each category qualify to compete at the National SkillsUSA Championships in Kansas City, Mo., in late June. The results of Friday's competition will be announced soon.
