Aug. 25, 2016 -- The College & Career High School, a partnership between Albuquerque Public Schools and Central New Mexico Community College, was the only high school in the state to earn “A” grades in all eight categories of the New Mexico Public Education Department’s annual school grading report that was released last week.
August 17, 2016 -- The School of Health Wellness and Public Safety is launching a new Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program this fall at the Westside Campus. A new class of 16 students will be admitted to the program each fall term.

August 4, 2016 -- A new component has been added to the CNM Nursing program. Second term nursing students are now going into the community to conduct free health assessments as part of their required clinical rotation experience.
August 3, 2016 -- After CNM reading instructor Jennifer Adams donated a kidney to one of her students two years ago, she became determined to get in the best shape of her life. She began exercising, running and kickboxing regularly.

July 29, 2016 -- About 40 children in varying stages of cancer spent Friday at CNM’s Main Campus touring labs and learning what it’s like to be a college student. The children are ages 6 to 18 and in varying stages of cancer, from seriously ill to being in remission.
July 26, 2016 -- Learn about programs in CNM's School of Health, Wellness & Public Safety during an open house on Friday, July 29, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the JS Building on Main Campus. The open house will be in several rooms on the second floor of the building.
July 14, 2016 -- Registration is under way for CNM’s free Summer Camp for middle and high school students. Full day and half day workshops will be held on Main Campus on July 22.
July 6, 2016 -- The CNM Foundation is the recipient of a three-year, $180,955 Community Impact Project Grant from the United Way of Central New Mexico (UWCNM). The grant will be used to establish a test-prep boot camp that will take place during summers for high school students planning to take dual credit courses at the college. This is the first year that UWCNM has offered a multi-year grant, and the CNM Foundation’s application was fully funded.

June 29, 2016 -- A CNM welding student continued the college’s tradition of excellence at the National SkillsUSA Championships, winning a gold medal at the nation’s largest gathering of Career Technical Education students. The event was held last week in Louisville, Ky., where 6,000 CTE students from around the country put their skills to the test.
June 28, 2016 -- Visit CNM's FUSE Makerspace for a family friendly event on the 4th of July (Monday) and celebrate community members who bring ideas to life with their own hands and imagination, along with the help of some high-tech CNM equipment.
June 22, 2016 -- The CNM Student Military and Veterans Charter is partnering with Roadrunner Food Bank to sponsor a Mobile Food Pantry scheduled for Saturday, June 25, at 9 a.m. in the Student Services Center parking lot on Main Campus.
June 22, 2016 -- For the past year, seven CNM student veterans who participate in CNM’s Sky Warriors program have been ballooning on Saturday mornings, learning new ways to cope with the transition from military to civilian life.
