Parking FAQ

A. Do I have to have a permit to park at CNM?

Q. You must register your vehicle with Security.  A free registration sticker is issued. Vehicles displaying disabled placards or plates may now park in a non-disabled parking  space in the reserved/gated parking lots when disabled parking spaces are not available.  However, disabled parking permits – issued free of charge at the Security/Parking Office  – are now required on all campuses. Please bring your disabled placards, disabled placard holder identification card and a valid driver’s license. If an individual has a disabled license plate then they must bring their vehicle registration. For further information please contact Parking Services at ext. 4637 or parkserv@cnm.edu

Main campus offers three types of permits. One permit which is issued at no cost for the non-fee lots except the Isotopes parking lot and the South Upper SSC lot. The parking lots located at the Isotopes Baseball stadium require a specific card permit. The entrance to the Upper South SSC lot is located at the eastside of the Isotopes A lot and  also requires a specific card permit.  These permit are issued at no cost once the student has filled out and return the lot registration form to Parking Services or the Admissions Information Desk in the Student Services Building.

The third permit type is a permit for the reserves/gated lots which can be purchased at a cost of $43 and allows the owner of the permit to park in the specific paid and/or gated lot. The paid lots consist of the gated North lot, Central lot, the gated Jeannette Stromberg (JS) lot, the Physical Plant(PPD) lot, and the gated upper Student Services Center(SSC) lot.
