       Helpful Tips

Parking rules, regulations, and key aspects of the CNM parking program have been published in a booklet called the Guide to Parking and Traffic Regulations. This booklet is available online - Guide to Parking and Traffic Regulations. Regulations changed during the academic year will not be reflected in this booklet but will be updated in the next academic year. 

Here are some helpful tips on how to navigate around potential parking problems at CNM:

DO...

  • Register your car with campus security. If there is a problem in the parking lot involving your car, security can contact you.
  • READ and FOLLOW the Guide to Parking and Traffic Regulations, available at the Student Services Center, Security Department Administrative office or the online Guide to Parking and Traffic Regulations.
  • Park in designated legal spaces marked by stall lines or a parking bumper.
  • Call Parking Services, (505) 224-4637, if a special parking need arises; or e-mail the office at parkserv@cnm.edu
  • Observe parking and traffic control signs in the parking lots. Reserved and restricted parking is strictly enforced.

 DON'T...

  • Assume anything about parking, or listen to second-hand information. Call Parking Services at (505) 224-4637 or e-mail the office at parkserv@cnm.edu  if you have a questions or concerns.
  • Get towed. Your vehicle is subject to towing if you.....

                    park in a fire lane.

                    park in a handicap space without a valid state placard assigned to YOU.

                    block a thoroughfare or parking aisle.

                    park on a lot island or landscaping.

                    parking in front of a dumpster;in a loading zone, dock area or official CNM spaces.

                    ignore CNM Special Events parking barricades or reserved parking spaces.

                    park in a paid area unless you are displaying a valid paid parking permit.

                    leave your vehicle overnight or for extended periods of time without notifying  security.
