Advanced sale of Summer 2008 paid parking permits on sale starting April 29th. The Physical Plant parking lot does require a parking permit.
Parking & Transportation Services' philosophy is to be consistent with the learning and service missions of the College. To this end, the focus of parking management at CNM is to enhance education by the safe flow of traffic on campus and provide reasonable access to all facilities for students, faculty, and visitors.
You must register your vehicle with security when parking on any CNM campus. Registration forms and stickers for campus are issued at no cost and maybe picked up at various location located throughout the campuses.
CNM Parking Services hours of enforcement in reserved/gated areas are Monday - Thursday from 6:30 to 4:30 p.m. Reserved/gated areas are open for non-fee parking (no permit required) after 4:30 p.m Monday - Thursday, Friday,. weekends, and during semester breaks. Meters are enforced Mondays - Fridays from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm. Defective meters should be reported immediately to Parking Services at 224-4637 Parking enforcement with regard to fire lanes, parking for the disabled or violations related to health/safety issues is year-round, seven days a week, 24 hours/day.
**NEW E-SERVICES NOW AVAILABLE**
Parking Services is happy to announce our new e-services. You can now buy your permit before the semester starts and have it mailed to you home address. You can also pay or appeal your citations online as well as update personal and vehicle information. Just click the e-service link on the left and sign on using your email log on. It's that easy.
Disabled Parking Permits Required
Vehicles displaying disabled placards or plates may now park in a non-disabled parking space in the reserved/gated parking lots when disabled parking spaces are not available. However, disabled parking permits – issued free of charge at the Security Administrative Office – are now required on all campuses. Please bring your disabled placards, disabled placard holder identification card and a valid driver’s license. If an individual has a disabled license plate then they must bring their vehicle registration. For further information please contact Parking Services at ext. 4637 or parkserv@cnm.edu.
MAIN CAMPUS PARKING
All lots offer parking on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking on Main Campus offers three options. Paid and/or gated lots, non-fee (free) lots and the Isotopes permit lot.
Paid and/or gated lots require a fee of $43.00 and are reserved for those who have purchased hanging permits to be displayed from the rearview mirror. These parking lots are the North gated lot, Central lot, Jeannette Stromberg (JS) gated lot, Physical Plant (PPD) lot, and east Student Services Center (SSC) gated lot. See campus map for detailed information.
Free parking is extremely limited at Main Campus. These lots are located along University Blvd. - the west Student Services Center lot, Ted Chavez lot, Smith Brasher lot, APS lot, and West lot. Security registration forms are issued at no cost and may be picked up with the appropriate documentation at the Admissions Office located in the Student Services Center or at the Parking Services Administrative Office.
The Isotopes baseball parking lots are available for CNM students, faculty, and staff. A parking permit will be required to park in these additional parking areas. Free permits can be picked up at the Security/Parking Services Administrative office or at the Information desk in Student Services Bldg. Parking in the Isotopes lot is prohibited on game days and during special events (word doc). Vehicles will be towed if parked in the lot during restricted times.
All Other Campuses
At the Montoya, South Valley and Westside campuses and the CNM Workforce Training Center all lots are free and offer parking on a first-come first served basis. These lots do require you to register your vehicle. Upon registration a CNM sticker will be issued at no cost. You can register your vehicle at the Information Desk in Tom Wiley Hall at Montoya, the Security Office at Westside Campus, or at the Main Office at South Valley.
CNM assumes no liability for private vehicles parked on CNM property. Individuals parking private vehicles with or without paid permits do so at their own risk.
