Classes must be completed with a grade of "C" or better. If you do not complete these courses successfully you will lose your seat in the program for the offered term. These students are welcome to apply again in a future term.

Grade Point Average (GPA)

Calculated GPA: The CNM Nursing Program is required by the New Mexico Nursing Education Consortium (NMNEC) to enforce a calculated Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.75 or higher. Calculated Grade Point Average refers to your GPA in a set of specific courses, in this case, the courses listed under "Required Courses" in the CNM Catalog for the Nursing NMNEC Concentration. To calculate your GPA, please visit How to Calculate Your Entry GPA for Nursing.

Cumulative GPA: The CNM Nursing Program also required an overall GPA of 2.0 on all CNM courses. Your cumulative GPA is located at the bottom of your CNM Unofficial Transcript. If you have completed less than 16 credit hours at CNM, cumulative GPAs from all other institutions for which you have submitted transcripts will be averaged into your CNM GPA. More information can be found under Grade Point Average (GPA) under Screening Criteria and Guidelines.
