Students Must Register for Classes Day Before First Class Meeting
Students must registered for classes by the day before the first class meeting. The first class meeting for Distance Learning classes — including hybrid and blended classes — is the beginning date shown on the Fall Parts of Term table.
Payment Plan Changes
The cost for setting up a payment plan at CNM is now as follows: $50 to set up ($30 non-refundable plan setup fee plus $20 down payment). The remaining amount will be divided into two equal payments due on Sept. 24 and Oct. 24. CNM Payment plans are available until Oct. 17.
Location Changes for General Parking Permit Pickup
General Parking Permits are now being issued at the Security Office at Main, Montoya and Westside campuses. The hours for permit pick up are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. General Parking Permits can also be picked up at the Admissions Office at the Rio Rancho and South Valley campuses and at the South Entrance Reception Desk at the Advanced Technology Center.
8 Building Fire Alarm Upgrade Project Set to Begin
The 8 Building Fire Alarm Upgrades project will begin in the next couple weeks. The contractor will start at the Montoya Campus (buildings J, K, and P) and is scheduled to complete these buildings by the end of October. The contractor will begin work on the Main Campus (buildings E, N, Trades, SSC, and TW) in late October and is scheduled to complete these buildings by the end of February. The contractor will be working the swing shift for the duration of the project and will work around class schedules to minimize disruptions.
Career Resource Center becomes the Career and Transfer Information Center (CTIC)
Career and Transfer Information Center (CTIC) has expanded the services provided in the center to include information about transfer. Students and staff are able to research careers and transfer options with guided support. Careers assessment, transfer workshops, transfer activities on campus and much more are among the services and information that can be found in CTIC. Students are invited to stop by and visit CTIC centers at Main Campus, SSC 203, and Montoya Campus, TW 105.
New Theatre Building
All Main Campus Theatre classes listed in the South Temporary Building will be held in the new Coal Avenue Theatre (CAT) beginning the first day of the term. The CAT is on the north side of Coal between University and Buena Vista just west of the S Building. Students should access the CAT from the west side of the building until courtyard construction is complete.
New Sites at Moriarty and AMREP Building in Rio Rancho
The Westside Campus Stone Replacement Project Underway
The Westside Campus Stone Replacement Project is underway, scheduled for completion on Dec. 1. During construction, everyone’s safety is the top priority. As a result, contractors will move the pedestrian protection as the project progresses.
New Westside Campus Entrance
The CNM Westside Campus has a new, additional entrance off of McMahon Blvd.
