Areas of Study

Find your course at CNM and then find a career you love. CNM offers more than 70 areas of study where you can earn a certificate or an associate’s degree. Nearly 100 percent of our graduates find jobs in their fields. And CNM prepares you not only to enter the workforce but also to further your education at four-year colleges and universities in New Mexico. Take a look at what we have to offer. Oversight for the College's instructional programs is provided by the Academic Affairs Division. 

Courses are found in six academic schools:

We offer many programs of study, including:

  • Alternative Teacher Licensure Program
  • Certificate programs in business, health, technologies and trades occupations;
  • Associate degrees in occupational fields, plus liberal arts and fine arts;
  • College transfer courses in liberal arts disciplines and many occupational subjects;
  • Adult and developmental education ranging from basic skills and GED instruction to college prep courses;
  • Customized training and assistance to large-and-small businesses through the CNM Workforce Training Center;
  • Apprenticeship programs in trades occupations; and
  • Dual Credit and Articulated or “Banked Credit” opportunities for high school students.
