CNM Wireless

Types of Access

The CNM network is 802.11b/g compatible.  There are several different types of access available to guests, students, staff and faculty.

Guest Access:

Wireless users who are not a student, staff, or faculty member will have access to CNM’s Public Web services.  These services include access to CNM Web Pages, Email, Online Registration, and Web Based File Access. 

Authorized Guest Access: 

Authorized guests are users who are not students, staff, or faculty members.  These users will require sponsorship from staff or faculty for additional access.  Authorized guests will have Internet access in addition to access granted to guest users.  Additional access to CNM services will be determined on a case by case basis. 

Personally Owned Equipment:

Students, Staff, and Faculty using personally owned equipment will have access to the Internet and CNM’s Public Web services.  CNM’s Public Web Services include access to CNM Web Pages, Email, Online Registration, and Web Based File Access.  To use CNM’s wireless network you will need to logon using your CNM username and password.  If you are unsure what your username and password are please visit CNM’s Automated Password Recovery system at https://password.cnm.edu/ . 

CNM Owned or Managed Equipment:

Staff and Faculty using equipment owned or managed by CNM will have access to CNM’s internal and external network as well as access to the Internet.  To use CNM’s wireless network you will need to logon using your CNM username and password.  If you are not sure what your username and password are please visit CNM’s Automated Password Recovery system at https://password.cnm.edu/.
