COVID-19 Guidance

CNM encourages students, staff, faculty, and visitors to follow CDC guidelines for health, safety, and well-being.

Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) is committed to the safety of all students, staff, faculty, and visitors. This page provides information and updates regarding COVID-19 to ensure the health and well-being of the CNM community.

COVID-19 Updates

Effective April 1, 2023, Central New Mexico Community College does not require the following:

  • The COVID-19 vaccine for students, staff, faculty, or visitors
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination for registration, application, or employment
  • Submission of the Daily Health Self-Assessment

Please note that off-campus worksite partners may still require vaccines and boosters for students, faculty, staff, and/or visitors.

Health and Safety Precautions

Face Masks

In accordance with the current New Mexico public health order, masks are optional while on CNM campuses. Though masks are not required, we encourage students, staff, faculty, and visitors to wear a face mask if they are comfortable doing so.

Cleanliness

You can help yourself and your loved ones stay healthy by washing your hands often. Washing hands with soap and water is the best way to get rid of germs in most situations. If soap and water are not readily available, you can use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
