Guidelines for Students on Campus for HLTH 1001

There are new COVID-19 guidelines in place for students returning to a CNM campus or location. CNM will follow current CDC guidelines including social distancing, requiring the use of a face covering and regular cleaning.

Overview

  • You will be on Main campus for about 2 hours. This includes time for check-in and one hour, 45 minutes for CPR skills practice and testing.
  • You will receive an email with your class times from your HLTH 1001 instructor. Check your email so that you don’t miss your class!
  • We will be following social distancing rules to keep everyone safe.

What do I need to do before coming to campus?

  • You will need to wear a face covering at all times while on campus. Please bring your own face covering with you when you come to class. If you are unable to obtain a mask, you will be given one on the day of the class session. Want to know more about face coverings? Check out the tips about face covering from CDC.

Where do I park?

  • Students are asked to park in the Central lot which is the closest parking lot to your class. Here’s a map of CNM Main campus.
  • Please leave at least one parking space empty between your car and others.
  • Be sure you have a CNM parking registration/permit on display in your vehicle while you are on campus.

What happens when I get to class?

  • Any student who presents with signs or symptoms of COVID-19 will not be able to attend class, will be issued a grade of “incomplete” and given the opportunity to complete a skill session later in the semester.

What will happen during our class?

You will be in class for approximately one hour, 45 minutes. We will have a total of 15 students and 2 instructors in the classroom. After we finish our session, each student will clean their own equipment used during class. You are required to leave campus immediately after the class ends. 

CNM is committed to the safety and well-being of all students on campus. We know this is a difficult time for everyone and we are doing everything we can to make this process as simple as possible while still keeping everyone safe.
