Available Work Study Programs

There are four types of work study funding available to students and one non work study student employment.
 
Student employment funds may not be awarded if credits attended are makeup summer credits for another secondary education institution. 
Student employment funds may not be awarded to students with an "At Home" budget or low unmet need.
 
  • State Work Study (STWKS) 
    • Valid and complete FAFSA
    • Minimum 6 financial aid eligible credits
    • Meet satisfactory academic progress
    • Funding provided by NM state government
  • Federal Work Study (FWS)
    • Valid and complete FAFSA
    • Minimum 6 financial aid eligible credits
    • Meet satisfactory academic progress
    • Funding provided by Federal government
  • No Need Work Study (NNSWS)
    • Valid and complete FAFSA
    • Minimum 6 financial aid eligible credits
    • Meet satisfactory academic progress
    • Funding specifically for students who lack unmet need 
    • Funding provided by NM state government
  • CNM Employment (CNMEMP)
    • Submitted FAFSA
    • Minimum 6 financial aid eligible credits
    • Funding provided by Central NM Community College
    • Used in extreme cases
  • Student Employment (Non Work Study)
    • Minimum 6 financial aid eligible credits
    • Funding provided by pre-approved Departments
      • Program includes DACA, International Students, RRC Interns and Mentors, Tutors, and DRC R/W
