Banner is an administrative software application developed specifically for higher education institutions. Banner maintains student, financial, and personnel data. It consists of five integrated systems: Finance, Student, Financial Aid, Human Resources, and General.
Banner has sophisticated security measures to make sure that only authorized individuals have access to specific data.
Access Banner 9
- Install Banner 9 on your CNM system using Microsoft Software Center.
Access Requirements
Need access to Banner? Access is granted based on your role at CNM. To request access to Banner, follow the below steps.
- Contact your Supervisor or Administrative Coordinator to request access.
- Submit a request to the ITS Service Desk.
- Include the following in your request:
- Full Name
- CNM Email Address
- Department
- Phone Number/Ext.
- User Class Requested
- Exceptions (forms/processes)
Devices and Browsers
Banner 9 is compatible with most browsers, such as Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari.
Off-Campus Access To Banner
Banner 9 can be accessed off-campus through VPN or VDI.
Support
- Tier One Support
- Consists of your Supervisor, IT Lead, Business Analyst, Banner 9 Testers, or in the event an issue can't be resolved, consult with Ellucian Support.
- Tier Two Support
- Submit a request with the ITS Service Desk.
- Training
- Additional training can be accessed through Talent Management (search for Banner), or consult with your Manager.
