Dos and Don'ts

Here are some tips for working with Translation Services.

DO These Things

  • DO rely on us as your experts for translation services. Let us assist you with your language needs.

  • DO consult with our staff if you have questions regarding the translation of a specific term or phrase, or if you do not agree with a specific translation of any term. Contact our office, we will be glad to provide an alternative if appropriate.

  • DO let us know if you had a good experience with our services.

  • DO reach out to the Translation Services Manager (Manola Colter) if you had an unsatisfactory experience or if there is any issue related to our services. If we are informed in a timely fashion, we will be able to act, investigate, and correct any error.  This communication will allow us to make changes and improve our operations.

  • DO help us in order for us to help you! Please familiarize yourself with our services. If you have any questions, please email us at

  • DO let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel a translation request.

DON'T Do These Things

  • DON’T assume that any bilingual individual is able to translate a document with high quality. Rely on our experts to ensure the best quality and protect CNM’s image through consistency with terminology.

  • DON’T rely on the translation machine, such as Google Translate. Even though this tool has improved over time, machine translation cannot deliver high-quality translation due to lack of cultural awareness and not understanding the importance of tone and context for each message.

  • DON’T wait until the last minute to request translation services. Remember that we have a turnaround time for translations of 3-5 business days for straightforward and non-technical documents, and longer turnarounds for more complex types of documents.  Be proactive and submit your request form in advance so we can meet your deadlines.

  • DON’T send us files that we cannot edit; files that haven’t been proofread; or documents that aren’t considered the final document.

  • DON’T send us lengthy files that have been previously translated by a non-professional translator. Instead, please send your request and original document directly to us and rely on our experts.  It takes a significant amount of time to edit the work of non-professional translators.

  • DON’T send your translation request twice. After you submit a request, you will always receive an automated acknowledgement receipt of your request.  If you need to follow up regarding any request that you have submitted, or if you have any question, please send an email to
