Phi Theta Kappa
CNM’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa is Alpha Upsilon Chi.
Phi Theta Kappa has recognized academic excellence in the two-year college since 1918 and has become the largest and most prestigious international honor society serving two-year colleges around the world. It's main function is to reward the hard work of students who excel academically, to organize service projects, and to coordinate honors study topics.
Eligibility
Membership is by invitation only. Invitations are emailed to eligible students the 4th week of each semester. To be eligible for PTK, you need to:
- Declare a major in an associate degree program or certificate program,
- Complete 12 or more credit hours at CNM in an associate degree program; 6 or more hours in a certificate program,
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
