As part of the New Student Orientation experience, new CNM students will be encouraged to “Be Curious” as they set off on their educational journey. To spark curiosity, faculty members are encouraged to share a 15 to 20 minute TED-type talk during the student orientation sessions. Immediately after speaking at the student session, faculty speakers will go to the Family and Guest session to speak to parents and other family members for approximately 20 minutes about how they can support their college student.

There are eight sessions scheduled for upcoming orientations. The first session will be on March 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. in Smith Brasher 101. This opportunity can typically be used toward college service commitments, but please confirm with your dean.

If you are interested in speaking to our new students, please contact orientation@cnm.edu or call 224-3352.
