She challenges and encourages them while also broadening their horizons and demonstrating practical applications of their skills for the future.

As a poet, she has been instrumental in fostering a creative writing community at CNM. She established a weekly writing group where all writers are welcome and comfortable attending. Rebecca is committed to both development as a teacher and as a learner. She uses a variety of ways to increase her ongoing understanding of how people learn to write and continues to learn through their writing. In class, she is always trying new (and old) ways of instilling a love of language and a bravery in her students so they may express their truest selves in their writing.  Rebecca’s devotion and ingenuity shines through to her students and colleagues every day.
