Shawn Wright: 2015-16 Distinguished Faculty Member Award Winner

Mr. Wright, a full-time faculty member in the School of Math, Science & Engineering, has structured his teaching approach to help his students truly learn the material and feel empowered to discuss, relate and explain the ideas associated with their biology courses. He provides them with multiple opportunities to try (and possibly fail) various activities so they understand that it is okay to risk possible failure because it’s ultimately a good learning strategy.
