The new “AttentionCNM” emergency alert system, which is capable of sending texts and e-mails to users, is now operational for all CNM employees. However, if you haven’t entered your cell phone number into the system, you will only receive e-mail alerts.

To receive emergency texts on your cell phone, log on to myCNM and then click on the AttentionCNM icon in the left-hand column. Enter your regular CNM username and password to log on to AttentionCNM and then go to the “My Account” tab to enter your cell phone number. You can enter multiple mobile phone numbers and e-mail addresses into the system.

In the case of an emergency or other important college-wide communication, texts and e-mails will be sent to the phone numbers and e-mails listed in your account. Your CNM e-mail has already been automatically uploaded into the system. You can update or change your contact information, or adjust your personal preferences, at any time by entering the AttentionCNM system through myCNM.

AttentionCNM will be an important component of CNM’s college-wide emergency notification system. It will work in conjunction with emergency voicemail delivery to college phones and emergency notifications on the main CNM website. AttentionCNM will also be used when the college is forced to close or operate on abbreviated schedules due to weather or other unforeseen events.
