March 28, 2017 -- A team of four CNM students will be participating in an international robotic competition, "Pi Wars," in Cambridge, England, this weekend. The CNM team will be the only representative from the U.S.
March 22, 2017 -- Several CNM student artists will display their work at an exhibit titled “21 Aspects” at 5G North Gallery in Albuquerque, 1715 Fifth Street NW, April 19-28. A reception honoring the exhibition will be held Friday, April 21 from 6-8 p.m.
March 20, 2017 -- A CNM student team won first place at the 2017 National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) competition in Silver Spring, Maryland, which took place March 13-17.

March 20, 2017 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security recently certified CNM to enroll international students studying on M and F visas. CNM’s Global Education office is now accepting international student inquiries to attend CNM beginning with the 2017 Fall Term that begins in August.
March 15, 2017 -- More than 500 Career Technical Education students from across the state will put their skills to the test at CNM on Friday, March 31, during the 2017 New Mexico SkillsUSA Leadership & Skills Conference.
March 15, 2017 -- CNM learned this week that the college ranked No. 1 among 1,100-plus community colleges nationwide in the number of graduation awards (associate degrees and certificates) earned by Hispanics for the 2014-15 academic year, according to the most recent U.S. Department of Education statistics available.
March 14, 2017 -- CNM Ingenuity, Inc., the 501(c)3 enterprise arm of CNM, and Harmonix Technologies, an international information technology corporation headquartered in Albuquerque, are teaming up to provide education institutions and other public institutions in New Mexico with world-class information technology data center management and other IT training services that will provide institutions with cost-saving opportunities.
March 14, 2017 -- CNM engineering and computer programming students will be headed to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida April 18-20, to participate in a NASA “Swarmathon” physical competition. Last year, a CNM team took second place in the competition and this year’s group hopes to do even better.
March 13, 2017 -- Loryn Phillips, a CNM student majoring in Biotechnology, has been selected to travel to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi next month to participate in the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars project.
March 13, 2017 -- CNM’s Theatre Department will present the play “Tortilla Sun” beginning March 24 at CNM’s Coal Avenue Theatre. “Tortilla Sun” is directed by CNM theatre instructor Martin Andrews, based on the book by Jennifer Cervantes and adapted for the stage by CNM theatre instructor Leonard Madrid.
March 13, 2017 -- CNM is celebrating International Education and International Day of the Woman throughout March with a series of events ranging from discussion panels to a flamenco class and from poetry readings to a belly dance demonstration. All of the events are being held at either Main or Montoya campuses and are free.

March 1, 2017 -- Students in Heidi Laughlin’s Introduction to Tourism class recently joined Courtney Padilla, corporate director of Special Projects for Heritage Hotels & Resorts, to tour the new Hotel Chaco, currently in the final stages of construction. Hotel Chaco is on course for a soft opening in mid-April.
Feb. 28, 2017 -- Three students from Central New Mexico Community College’s Electrical Trades Associate Degree Program today were named 2017 Siemens Technical Scholars by the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program and the Siemens Foundation.
