Priority Registration

If you currently have a New Mexico EMT-B license you can receive a priority registration time to register for the EMT-Intermediate Program. You will need to provide your current license number on your screening form. Current licensure status will be verified using the NM EMS License Verification Report.

There will be a limited amount of seats available for priority registration. Obtaining priority registration does not guarantee a seat in the course. If you have a pending action on your license, we recommend you contact with the EMS Program Director for more information: Jessica Medrano, jmiller72@cnm.edu.

Complete the Following Prior to Screening

  1. Enroll as a CNM student (if you are not already a CNM student). Visit the Registration & Application page.

  2. Receive CNM ID number and CNM email address. Check your email address to make sure it is functioning properly and contact Information Technology Services if you have questions.

  3. If you have attended other colleges/universities, have all transcripts sent to the CNM Records Office and allow time for processing. When evaluation is complete, you will receive an email showing how credits were evaluated.

Once you complete the form, you will be notified of your form status by CNM email and it is your responsibility to check your CNM account regularly. You will be notified of the date, time, and what courses to register for in the program. If you successfully register for the program, classes will begin in the upcoming term.

Pre-Clinical Requirements

If you are successfully registered for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) - Intermediate program, you will be required to complete pre-clinical requirements. Students will receive a classroom visit once the term has started regarding these pre-clinical requirements. More information is available through the Office of Verification and Compliance.
