Dr. John Moss

Before his graduate work in sociology, John worked in several non-profit agencies in California, including a transitional living program for homeless mentally ill adults, a women’s health clinic, a job training program for low income and unemployed workers and a health outreach program for low-income pregnant Black women.  John earned his Master of Sociological Practice at California State University San Marcos and completed his Ph.D. in sociology at the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2009.  In 2010, John was appointed Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Guam where he taught for six years.  In 2016, he was hired as Instructor of Sociology at Central New Mexico Community College.  He enjoys reading, hiking, camping and exploring the wilderness.
