Need to Know: Transcript Requests

All you need to know about how to get your CNM Transcripts are on this page.

MyCNM Login

You will need to know your CNM ID number and MyCNM login credentials.

  • If you have forgotten your CNM ID number: Contact the Records Office at (505)224-3000 for assistance.
  • If you know your CNM ID but forgot your username or password: If you have issues with your login, please go to CNM click "Forgot Password or Forget Username?" Follow instructions on the screen to reset your password or username. If you are still unable to log in call(505)224-3000.

Students Enrolled Prior to 1986

Students who attended before 1986 may go directly to the Parchment Ordering page and create an account to make your request. Any student whose CNM academic credit record includes attendance before 1986 may have a "legacy" record that lives in our archives. Please allow extra processing time for these transcripts.

Still Waiting for Final Grades

If you are still waiting for your final grades you have two options:

  1. Order your official transcript after your grades appear on your online unofficial transcript.
  2. When ordering your transcript, select "Hold for Grades" (this can be done in the current term only).

Including Attachments with Transcript Request

Parchment allows you to attach supporting documents to transcripts. If requesting an electronic transcript with attachment, please verify with the recipient that they will accept electronic transcripts. Simply attach your completed form or other supporting documents when entering your "Order Options" in Parchment. Please note that attached documentation must be completed prior to submitting your request to Parchment.

Tracking Your Order

When logged in to Parchment, you can track the status of your transcript request by clicking "Order Status" at the top of the page and selecting the order you wish to track. Also, you will a receive email notifications regarding your order status.

Sending Transcripts to a Third Party

Students can either select to send an electronic version or mail a hardcopy transcript to a third party through Parchment. Colleges and universities are unable to request official transcript on behalf of a student.  

Sending Transcripts to a Specific Department within a College/University

If you need to send your CNM transcript to a specific department or office within another institution follow these instructions after logging in to Parchment:

  1. Click the "Search" button: do not enter a destination.
  2. Click "Send to Yourself, Another Individual or Third Party" button.
  3. Select the product type: 
  • eTranscript: enter your recipient's email address.
  • Mailed: enter the delivery address of the department/office.
  • Pickup: you can pick up your paper transcript at the CNM Main Campus Records Office and deliver it to the other institution yourself.
  • Select your order options and enter recipient information.
  • Complete your order.
  • Time to Receipt of Transcripts

    • Electronic: within one business day (Legacy transcript may take additional processing time)
    • Pick-up: Orders placed before midnight will be available for pick-up at Main Campus the next business day after 2:00 pm.

    Please note: processing time may increase due to high volume at certain times of the year.

    Authorizing Someone Else to Pick Up Your Transcript

    To authorize another person to pick up your paper transcript at the Registrar's Office, you must enter that person's name in the "Recipient Name" field when ordering the transcript. If you didn't include their name on the request, you may send a signed memo with the recipient authorizing them to pick up your transcript. The person you authorize to pick up must bring their own photo ID (example: NM driver’s license).
