We have reached full capacity for College Day at CNM and registration is closed.


Give your students the opportunity to learn what it's like to be a college student. College Day at CNM is designed specifically for high school students, enabling them to explore a variety of career pathways.

Students will:

  • Explore College and Career options
  • Test drive labs and classrooms
  • Engage in interactive, hands-on activities related to college and career fields
  • Network with CNM faculty, students, alumni, and local employers
  • Meet the CNM mascot, Sol the Suncat
  • Gain valuable information participating in the Student Resource Fair
Tips and Important Information:
  • Some events will take place outside. Make sure to wear warm clothes and comfortable shoes.
  • Lunch will not be provided, but will be available for purchase. Guests should bring a sack lunch or money to purchase lunch from visiting food trucks.
  • In the event that CNM has a delay or is closed due to a snow day, the College Day at CNM event will be cancelled.
  • If College Day at CNM is rescheduled, you will be contacted so we can check on your availability for the rescheduled date.

    Encourage your students to actively participate and get the most out of College Day at CNM by incorporating the day's event into your classroom curriculum:

    • Offer extra credit to students who attend the Student Resources Fair
    • Have students write, draw, or talk about their career goals
    • Hold a college exploration day
    • Practice writing resumes and conduct mock interviews
    • Discuss how education leads to fulfilling careers in the future
    • Talk about the industries vital to New Mexico's economy
    • Have students write or discuss why "soft skills" are important
