Training for New CMS Available for Website Content Contributors

The new content management system (CMS) for cnm.edu offers a variety of ways to spice up – or clean up – the online presentation for all the programs and services offered at the college. And thanks to the system's workflow processes, designated personnel in each department can participate directly in showcasing their area's role at CNM.

Employees Honored for Outstanding Work

CNM employees Anthony Rael, Pam Etre-Perez, Tom Pierce and Christine Duncan were recently honored by the college for outstanding efforts, which included establishing an English as a Second Language class for CNM Operations employees and for organizing the disbursement of $23 million in financial aid to students.

Faculty Member Stars in National Training Videos in Support of Teaching

July 16, 2015 -- While she may not receive any royalties or major acting awards, CNM psychology instructor Kristin Roush’s face might become familiar to higher education faculty across the country. She is featured in four short training videos made available by Magna Publications, a major U.S. higher education publishing company.

Deadline to Acknowledge Faculty Load and Compensation (FLAC) Assignments Is May 27

May 14, 2015 -- Faculty Load and Compensation (FLAC) processes require faculty to review and acknowledge course assignments to ensure accurate pay. Part-time Faculty Assignments & Full-time Faculty Overloads – Summer course assignments will be available for review and acknowledgement through myCNM on May 15 after 5 p.m. The deadline to acknowledge assignments is May 27.

CNM to Offer Fast Track Business Associate Degree

July 31, 2014 -- Central New Mexico Community College will be offering a “fast track” Business Administration Associates of Applied Science Degree program starting this fall at the new CNM STEMulus Center in downtown Albuquerque. In only 15 months, two nights a week and online students can earn their degrees.

More Robust Educational Benefit Policy in Effect as of July 1

July 3, 2014 -- As of July 1, employees who are not covered by a collective bargaining agreement are now eligible for enhanced educational benefits that were approved by the CNM Governing Board. The benefits still need to be negotiated through the collective bargaining process for employees covered by a CBA.
