Governing Board Resolution 1993-26
Whereas, the New Mexico Procurement Code (13-1-21 to 13-1-199, NMSA, 1978) requires that all procurement for local public bodies shall be performed by a central purchasing office designated by the governing authority of the local public body; and
Whereas, the Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute purchasing department administered by the director of purchasing is responsible for procurement of items of tangible personal property, services and construction for the Institute; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Governing Board of the Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute designates the purchasing department administered by the director of purchasing as the central purchasing office; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the director of purchasing be designated the purchasing officer; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the purchasing officer shall promulgate rules and regulations as needed for the operation of the central purchasing office, including policies and procedures required by the New Mexico Procurement Code, subject to approval of the Institute's president or designee.
