Instructions for Submitting a Paper Online

How to submit your paper to the Virtual Writing Center.

Submit your paper by emailing it to the Virtual Writing Center. For best results and to avoid delays, include all the information requested below.  

1. Please include the following in the body of your email: 

  • Your name
  • Your instructor's name
  • The class (ex: ENG 1101)
  • Detailed information on what your instructor is requiring (not all teachers expect the same thing in an essay or paper, so the more detail you can provide, the better)
  • Information about what kind of help you would like from the tutor
  • Any other information you think will help the tutor

2. Attach your paper to the email, along with any prompts or instructions your instructor provided.

  • Please upload files as Microsoft Word (.doc,.docx) or Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt,.pptx). 
  • We do not have the technology to accept shared files or links.
  • Students can download Office 365 for free. 

3. Email your paper to

You should immediately receive a confirmation email that we have received your paper. Then you should receive feedback within a week. If you do not receive feedback within the time frame, please call us at (505) 224-3966.
