New and returning students must attend an orientation via Zoom. Spring 2022 Session A will begin January 24, 2022

New Students

Steps to sign-up for High School Equivalency (HSE) classes:

  1. If you are 16-17 years of age, you must provide the Underage Permission Form in order to proceed to registration.
  2. Attend one of our online orientation sessions and complete the online CNM Adult Basic Education application. (Once orientation is complete, you'll be sent a link to apply for admissions and a link to fill out the required documents.)
  3. Take the CASAS Reading and Math GOALS Assessment by appointment only. Students must have a computer running Windows 10, a webcam and microphone, high-speed internet, Zoom, and have about 2 hours to test without interruptions. 
  4. Make an appointment with the ABE Achievement Coach, Rebecca Martinez (rmartinez24@cnm.edu), to register for classes.
  5. You will receive your class schedule and payment information via your CNM email. Cost is $10 registration fee, per term. 

Returning Students

If you have attended HSE classes at CNM before, but are not currently enrolled in classes this term, you must successfully complete an orientation, and take the CASAS GOALS test if your test scores are more than 6 months old. To register for classes, please make an appointment with the ABE Achievement Coach, Rebecca Martinez, at rmartinez24@cnm.edu.
