Hello and welcome to CNM!

Thanks for stopping by to check out our website. I hope you’ll take some time to explore CNM’s site and learn more about all the terrific ways that CNM can serve you.

Remember, we are here to help you achieve your educational and career goals, so please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re rooting for all of you to succeed!

For our friends in the business community and in the community at large, we are also here to support you and to be an ally in raising the quality of life for everybody in our communities. At CNM, we love partnerships and contributing to the greater good.

With five campuses serving our region and the Workforce Training Center and the Advanced Technology Center, CNM provides the most comprehensive curriculum and workforce training options of any community college in New Mexico.

We offer certificates in 52 business, health, technologies and trades occupations, as well as short-term career and technical courses. About 95 percent of CNM graduates get jobs related to their field of study. We also offer associate degrees in 48 occupational fields and arts and sciences. We have college transfer courses in pre-management, engineering, occupational fields and 28 arts and sciences disciplines, which are transferable to four-year institutions.

CNM also provides more online courses than any other public postsecondary institution in the state.

For high school students, we have dual-enrollment programs that allow them to earn college and high school credits at the same time, which can save time and money once they enter college. In addition to dual-enrollment programs at local high schools, CNM and Albuquerque Public Schools jointly operate the Early College Academy, where high school students simultaneously pursue a high school diploma and a CNM associate’s degree. When they graduate, they’re ready for high-tech jobs or a head start on a bachelor’s degree.

We also provide renowned services for adult basic education and developmental education through our School of Adult & General Education, which was recognized as one of the four best models in the nation for adult/developmental education. Our GED program produces more than 1,200 graduates per year.

In regard to support services for our students, CNM is a trailblazer. Beyond academic advisors, we have a unique collection of special student advocates – Achievement Coaches, who are here to encourage and help students overcome obstacles and personal life challenges. We also have the groundbreaking CNM Connect, which provides an array of academic, financial and emotional support systems for students in need.

There are so many ways we can help you, whether it’s teaching you a foreign language or empowering you for a brighter future and a better life. We are here to expand horizons and lift people up to new heights.

Please don’t hesitate to call 224-3000 or 224-3487 if you want to learn more about what we can do for you.

Best wishes,

Kathie W. Winograd
CNM President
