What are CNM Navigators?

Navigators are your go-to people at CNM. They are with you from application until graduation to answer any questions you may have and help you to the next step in the process.

When you apply, you will receive a text and email from your Navigator. They’ll also email you from time to time with reminders and important information. Bottom line, the Navigators are here to help you navigate college!

Daniela Zamora
Daniela Zamora

Daniela Zamora was born in Mexico and came to Albuquerque when she was seven. She graduated from Rio Grande High School and went on to attend CNM. In college, Daniela saw that her peers often struggled with the enrollment process so she volunteered to help. That led to a position with CNM’s Student Services, and then to her current job as one of CNM’s Navigators.

Daniela, who’s fluent in Spanish and English, thrives in this position because she’s a problem solver and is willing to tackle anything you bring her (really). She also has a thorough understanding of campus resources so she can point students to whatever they might need. Finally, Daniela has seen the power of a CNM degree and is committed to helping help every student meet their educational goals, no matter the path they choose.

You can contact Daniela at daniela@cnm.edu.

Luis Castañeda

CNM Navigator Luis Castañeda

Luis Castañeda was born in Texas, raised in San Jose, California, and ultimately made his way to Albuquerque in 2008. Luis was first introduced to CNM when he sought to obtain his GED in 2009. He has since then also obtained a certificate, and Associate's degree from CNM, and has earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at UNM.

Luis, who is fluent in both English and Spanish, learned the ropes here at CNM as a bilingual Contact Center Information Specialist. Given his experience as both a student and employee, Luis is well-prepared to assist our students with any questions or concerns they may have.

You can contact Luis at  lcastaneda5@cnm.edu.

Student Navigators

The Navigators also have a team of Student Navigators to help assist you even more. These students have been in your shoes. They know what it’s like to be a CNM Suncat. You’ll likely get a phone call or email from the Student Navigators. Got a question only a fellow student will understand? Ask them!
