About CNM Foundation
Incorporated in 1992 as the not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation to accept and administer private gifts on behalf of Central New Mexico Community College (CNM), the CNM Foundation provides additional financial assistance for citizens of CNM’s service area, making it possible for them to obtain the quality educational opportunities they deserve.
By leveraging private funding resources and opportunities to support CNM, the Foundation has raised more than $30 million in program support and distributed more than 32,000 scholarship awards to support students.
The CNM Foundation is the past recipient of the VIVA Award from the Association of Commerce and Industry of New Mexico and the New Mexico Ethics in Business Awards (Not-for-Profit Category) of the Samaritan Counseling Center.
Our Mission
The CNM Foundation is committed to the principle that no student should be denied the opportunity for an education or vocational training due solely to a lack of financial resources. The CNM Foundation works to help CNM meet its mission to create educational opportunities and community partnerships while pursuing a level of community college excellence that is worthy of local and national recognition.
Gifts to the CNM Foundation are tax-deductible and benefit CNM programs, scholarships and activities that are not funded through state operating and capital budgets.
