26.1
The parties recognize that it is an exclusive prerogative right and responsibility of the Employer to determine what work is to be performed, when it is to be performed, and by whom it shall be performed. Prior to the Employer contracting out work which would result in the layoff of an employee in this bargaining unit, the College will provide the Union with at least thirty (30) calendar days written notice of the impending layoff.
26.2
The Union will be given the opportunity to suggest ways in which the College could use bargaining unit employees at the same or lower cost to the College.
