Visitor Parking

ParkMobile

Download the ParkMobile app to pay for a metered parking space directly from your phone.

Visitor Parking

Visitors are encouraged to park at the parking meters or visitor spaces or use the ParkMobile app. If you plan to stay more than three hours (the maximum time allowed at meters), a single-day E-Permit or virtual day pass can also be obtained.

E-Permits

The E-Permit is a free, single-day permit that you can obtain online by submitting your vehicle information. There is no need to print the E-permit. Your license plate becomes your permit. E-Permits are not valid for meters or restricted parking spaces.

Virtual Day Pass

If you've used all of your free E-Permits, or just want a more convenient option to park on campus, you can obtain a virtual day pass by clicking the “Get Permits” link in the parking portal. The virtual day pass is $4.00 per day and valid in all lots, but not in Parkmobile spaces.

Construction Contractors and Table Vendors

All construction workers and vendors must display a permit or use the ParkMobile app (zone 5911).

Construction workers and vendors are not allowed to park in official vehicle spaces, special permit spaces, handicap spaces, fire lanes, on the landscape, or anywhere not identified as a legal parking space. This is enforced year-round, seven days a week, 24 hours per day. Vendors and contractors who receive a parking citation are responsible for immediate payment of the citation.

Those required to register for a temporary permit include:

  • Construction companies/workers
  • MCO-approved table vendors
  • Non-CNM Contractors and service providers

Those exempt from registering are delivery vehicles or trucks, such as UPS, FedEx, Pepsi, office supply companies, or specialized service providers.

Request Parking Permits

The cost for temporary parking permits (valid in all lots) is $30.00 per month. Annual permits are also available.

  1. Create a guest account.
  2. Register your vehicle.
  3. Click “Approval Requests” and select “Contractor” from the drop-down box.
  4. Provide the reason for the request, the company name, and the construction project and building.
  5. Once your request is approved, you will have access to purchase monthly and annual permits.

Avoid a Citation

Failure to properly display a current permit may result in parking citations and/or the vehicle being towed at the owner's expense. All vehicles must park in a legal parking space and adhere to CNM's parking rules and regulations. Failure to follow the policy will result in the loss of all on-campus parking privileges and cancellation of the permit. Lost or stolen permits must be reported to Parking Services.
