The Employee Handbook, the Source and the Governing Board Policy Manual serve as reference guides for CNM’s operating policies and procedures. These policies connect the College’s mission to our community, clarify expectations, mitigate risk, enhance efficiency, and support the College’s compliance with laws and regulations.

The lifecycle of a policy at CNM ensures that each policy remains relevant, compliant, and effective in supporting the college’s mission. This lifecycle begins by identifying the need for a new policy or revising an existing one, guided by input from key stakeholders. Once a need is established, the policy moves through development and approval, a stage involving research, stakeholder consultation, and alignment with legal and regulatory standards. Approved policies are then published and communicated to the college community. To maintain relevance and accuracy, each policy undergoes periodic review and maintenance, during which it is evaluated for effectiveness and updated as necessary. This continuous process, supported by policy owners and stakeholders, ensures CNM’s policies meet evolving needs and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
