Graduation Ceremony Overview
CNM hosts one formal commencement ceremony each year after the Spring Term. We encourage all eligible students to participate. The Spring 2026 ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 2, at Tingley Coliseum, beginning at Noon.
Please note:
- You will not receive your physical degree at the ceremony. The Graduation and Evaluation Department will email you instructions on how to receive it by mail or pick-up. For questions, contact grad&[email protected].
- Check your CNM email regularly for updates regarding the ceremony and Grad Fest. More information will also be sent via The Scratch!, CNM's student e-newsletter. If you have questions about the ceremony, please email Student Activities at [email protected].
How to Participate
- RSVP Through Tassel: If you’re eligible to graduate, look for an email from [email protected] with instructions on completing your RSVP.
- No Guest Tickets Required: Seating is first come, first served. There are no physical tickets for guests.
- Cap and Gown Required: You must wear regalia to walk/participate in the ceremony.
Graduation Items
Caps and gowns can be purchased online or at the CNM Main Campus Bookstore, located on the first floor of the CNM Marketplace, 719 University Blvd. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106.
Announcements can only be purchased through Jostens. Orders must be received by March 20 to ensure arrival in time for the ceremony on May 2.
If You Are Not Attending the Graduation Ceremony
You do not need to attend the ceremony to receive your diploma or certificate. Within 24-48 hours after your award is granted, you will receive an email from Michael Sutter Co. or BlockCert with diploma request options. For more information, please visit our Request Your Diploma webpage.
Grad Fest 2026
Student Activities is excited to invite all graduating students and their families to CNM's Grad Fest on April 24 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. on the Marketplace Parking Lot, Main Campus. During the event, students can get a professional photo taken, pick up their cap and gown, decorate their cap, and grab a graduation parking permit. There will also be lunch and other treats for students and their families to enjoy.
