February 3, 2015 -- As the first event of the 2015 RecycleMania Tournament, CNM is sponsoring a tour on Friday, Feb. 6, of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified buildings on Main Campus. The tour, which is open to students, is co-sponsored by the New Mexico Student and Emerging Professionals Chapter of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).

CNM employees Anthony Rael, Pam Etre-Perez, Tom Pierce and Christine Duncan were recently honored by the college for outstanding efforts, which included establishing an English as a Second Language class for CNM Operations employees and for organizing the disbursement of $23 million in financial aid to students.

July 17, 2015 -- More than 100 students in grades 6-8 attended a free CNM Career Technical Education Summer Camp on Friday, July 17, when they participated in hands-on activities designed to introduce them to some of the many career technical education programs offered at the college.

February 17, 2015 -- Fourteen CNM students have been named to the Phi Theta Kappa New Mexico All-State Academic Team and each will receive a $15,000 scholarship. They were recently honored at the New Mexico Legislature and will be recognized at the March 10 CNM Governing Board meeting.

July 8, 2015 -- In just a few short weeks, CNM Fine Arts full-time faculty member Lea Anderson will be sharing her creativity with not only her students, but also with visitors of the Albuquerque Museum of Art & History. She has been selected as the museum’s "2015 Summer Artist-in-Residence" and will create a colorful piece of installation art that will reside in the museum’s Grand Lobby for a year.

"We really care about our community and we wanted to help out any way we can," said student Stephen Martos, president of the Executive Council of Students. "We thought a toy and coat drive would be the perfect way to help our community this holiday season."

The thrill of becoming a college graduate as thousands of supporters cheer from the seats of Tingley Coliseum is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that continues to gain popularity. At noon on Saturday (Dec. 8) in Tingley, more than 620 graduates will walk in the Fall 2012 CNM Graduation Ceremony, which will set the college record for participation in a graduation ceremony.
