Spring Break Continues Through March 17

CNM's Spring Break will take place Monday, March 11, through Sunday, March 17. No classes will be held, but campuses will be open. Some services will be closed or operating on shortened schedules.

CNM Honors Veterans During Veterans Week

Nov. 11, 2013 -- CNM is saluting military veterans with a week-long schedule of ceremonies and activities that kicked off today, Nov. 11, Veterans Day. This will be the first year that CNM will recognize veterans with several events through the week.

CNM Honors Wells Fargo’s Investment in Student Success

Oct. 31, 2013 -- Wells Fargo Bank recently donated $100,000 to support CNM’s “Making Money Work,” a program that provides high school students across the state with the opportunity to take a CNM dual credit class on financial literacy. CNM and Wells Fargo celebrated the donation with a reception on Oct. 30 in the Student Resource Center.

CNM Signs Transfer Agreement with ENMU

Nov. 20, 2013 -- CNM has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) that allows students taking career technical education courses at CNM – such as drafting, welding and culinary arts – to obtain a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (B.A.A.S.) from ENMU. This online degree will allow students to continue their education and, if desired, earn a degree exclusively online.

CNM Offers Extended Hours Jan. 2-4

With the 2014 Spring Term beginning on Monday, Jan. 6, the Main, Montoya, Rio Rancho, South Valley and Westside campuses will provide extended hours for Student Services, CNM Connect and Academic Affairs offices Jan. 2-4.

CNM Offices Closed on Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All CNM offices will be closed on Friday, Sept. 13, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the annual faculty and staff Convocation. For students, if you have a class scheduled during this time, please ask your instructor if the class will be held.

CNM Foundation Board Welcomes Three New Members

April 8, 2013 -- Melissa Gonzales-Espino, Ruth Schifani and Angela Silva recently joined the Central New Mexico Community College Foundation Board, a 501c(3) organization that helps fund scholarships and programs that support the success of students and the college.

CNM Going Smoke-Free Except in Limited Areas

Aug. 22, 2013 -- In an effort to advance CNM’s commitment of providing a healthy environment to learn and work, a new policy is in effect that prohibits smoking and the use of other tobacco-related products, including e-cigarettes, on all campuses except in “Designated Smoking Areas.”
