Program Information
The Nursing program was established to assist with industry shortages by developing a workforce for the local market. Our program is designed to prepare you for employment in the nursing industry and provide advancement opportunities. We focus on concepts of clear communication, critical thinking, and compassion when caring for your patients.
Our curriculum includes classroom, laboratory, and supervised clinical instruction. The program culminates with a one-on-one practicum experience in real, workforce settings. We combine essential arts and sciences classes with nursing courses.
Our program meets the requirements of the New Mexico State Board of Nursing. Our graduates are qualified to sit for the NCLEX-RN examination. Graduates of the AASN program can then complete a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing which is offered at the University level.
Graduates can find employment in any healthcare setting.
