The Financial Aid Outreach team offers assistance with FAFSA applications, myScholarship applications, and applications for more than 100 scholarships offered by CNM. These services can be assisted in English or Spanish.
Gerald Romero
Gerald Romero, Jr. is a first-generation college student who was born in Las Vegas, NM and raised in Albuquerque. He was a non-traditional student who entered college many years after finishing high school. Gerald worked at Financial Aid as a work-study student while he attended CNM, where he earned four associate degrees. Gerald earned his BA at UNM, followed by his MA in Educational Administration at NMSU.
Gerald stands as a testament to the belief that education has no expiration date. He is deeply aware of the obstacles faced by students who are either entering or returning to the academic world. Driven by a commitment to ensuring student success, Gerald aims to enhance the educational experience for all, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to succeed. His leadership is marked by a dedication to excellence and a commitment to creating an empowering and supportive educational landscape.
