Program Timeline

Applications are now open for the 2026-2027 term.

Best Consideration: January 12, 2026
Final Deadline: April 1, 2026
Classes Begin: August 2026

Teacher Residents (TRs) will be participating in the coursework as follows. TRs will be assigned a Cooperating Teacher.    

Fall Term

  • SETT Program Orientation
  • Twelve Credits of CNM Coursework:
    • Foundations of Special Education
    • Classroom & Behavior Management
    • Emergent Literacy for Diverse Learners
    • Curriculum Development Assessment and Evaluation
  • Four days of on-your-feet co-teaching each week in APS

Spring Term

  • Nine Credits of CNM coursework:
    • Methods and Materials for Special Education
    • Intermediate Literacy for Diverse Learners (Structured Literacy Foundation)
    • Literacy/Language Instruction for ESL Learners (TESOL)
  • Four days of on-your-feet co-teaching each week in APS

Summer Term

Fall Term

  • Three Credits of CNM coursework:
    • Supervised Field Experience (SFE) in your own classroom
