Credit for Community Partnerships
We have partnerships with organizations around the state and accept A.C.E. CREDIT recommendations for specific trainings offered by national organizations. If you work for one of these partners or have learned a Native American language from a regional tribe or Pueblo, you may qualify to earn credit towards your program.
*Look for your organization in the list and click on the link to see if your on-the-job training or Native American language can earn you credit towards your degree or certificate program. Simply print and complete the appropriate Credit for Prior Learning form and submit it along with all required documentation listed on the form and proof of payment to any Enrollment Services Office to initiate the approval process. You may also submit all of the documents directly to the Grad & Eval Office by emailing them as attachments to askgrad@cnm.edu.
Approved credit recommendations found in the American Council on Education's (ACE) National Guide to College Credit for Workforce Training are also listed here. *Please review the form to see if your specific training is listed. Only training that is equivalent to specific CNM courses is accepted.
You may pay the non-refundable processing fee of $25.00 online at the CPL Store. Make sure to include a copy of the receipt when submitting your request for credit.
*If your employer, tribe, Pueblo, or ACE reviewed training or exam is not listed, you may submit a Request for Evaluation of Prior Learning to the Grad & Eval Office via email at askgrad@cnm.edu. Attach any training documentation that may help with the evaluation and proof that you completed the training, such as employee or ACE transcripts.
Note: You must have a declared major on file to which the potential credit requested will apply. Your request will be forwarded to the appropriate school(s) for evaluation. You may be contacted by the school(s) to provide additional information regarding the training.
